Dash thingy

I remember ages ago i done some thing with the dash to make all the lights come on the dials move ect. How do you do it? ive forgotten. Also what does it do?

On a 1*2 you hold down the button for the trip computer, (end of windows wiper stalk) while turning on the ignition

It's some sort of error finder - I think.
Tells you how much fuel is in the tank too (in litres)
