Dash warning lights on a omex ecu

  TVR Cerbera
Hi ya, just finished my ITB and cams upgrade with an omex ecu. Because the standard ecu is hardly connected anymore i have the warning lights on on the dash. (limp mode and emmissions) Now i know these lights are on a databus from the ecu and the only way i can see of turning them off is by removing the led's.
however does anyone know if you can use software and datalead (which i have) to tell the ecu not to report these problems to the dash board?

Cheers for any input guys

You've already gone hardcore, just smash them.

i forgot to mention the 12.6:1 pistons, forged rods, gasflowed head and it's at GDI being tuned. lol

but i can't be asked in taking the god damn dash board out again, it a pain! and besides there isn't a lot left that hasn't been taken apart recently, lol

lol.

Just put some sticky tape over the said bulbs ;)

Failing that buy one of those racing type dashboards (with digital speed and revs).

Lastly, for comedy value, I think you should take it to Renault and say you've got some warning lights that've just come on:eek:

I know i can take the leds out but i'm just going to run with this theory:

The ecu is a computer running a program. the program knows something is not right and so tells the dash to put a light on. surely there must be a way to alter the program so that it doesn't put the light on on a fault, b ut still works normally when you first put the ignition on, eg all warning lights?

anyone with a program that can access the programming????

just wondering if it can be done.

what else am i going to spend my spare time on? lol

Just fancy having a go to sort it properly, then i might be able to help other owners with warning lights after tuning................

If your going to have a go fix the whole UCH instead bin the lot go stand alone.
