Dashboard lights dimmer switch

I was taking apart my dashboard and when I pulled of the bit of plastic where your headlight adjustment is I noticed the connector behind it and wondered what it was for. Today I was at a car salvagers yard and while looking around the Clio's noticed a couple had the same bit but with two switches and so disconnected the wiring and plugged it into my car.
And more importantly it works, I seem to remember reading they do this to save money on wiring looms but I really wish I had looked for one of these earlier.
It may just be a small thing but it is so much easier on the eyes with the dash lights dipped right down and at night driving on dark motorways on backroads with no street lighting you seem to be able to see a lot clearer without the glare from the dials.
Which Clio's came fitted with these out of interest if anybody knows?

  Mégane RS
yeah i added one on mine, although it doesnt control the radio display and electric window switches

Hard to tell I remember Bmh.01 saying he had them on his 51 plate Dynamique but he didn't have them on his 53 plate. Looks like it's just the luck of the draw.

Seems strange to have the function enabled but just no switch. For all a switch must cost to make they should have gave them to all Clio's. It's the reason i've always considered changing the instrument panel lights as on a dark road they are too in your face. Definently one of the best changes i've made and for free!
Mine seem to control my radio display aswell both the bit that tells you track/time/temp and the headunit. Never noticed the electric windows switches though.
The model I found it on looked like and expression so do the RS models have these aswell?Just need to traction control button now;)
