so this is my clio 172 which I plan to turn in to a track car/daily work car its quite standard so far. has an unknown exhaust looks to be lowered and has a shite k&n my first purchase is an omp wheel which should be send out soon as pay has cleared

im not too interested in the bodywork just yet but plans are as follows:

nice wheels 16x8 et15 nice flair on the arches and yoko a048's
coilovers with camber adjust
a few suspension braces upper and lower
uprated bushes
uprated arb and droplinks
uprated brakes- 406 brembo's 300mm brembo discs ebc pads front brembo discs ebc pads rear and braided lines
better airbox&filter
decat pipe
tubular uprated manifold
bit of inlet/exaust head work fast road cams
uprated fuel system
remap
uprated diff and clutch
short shift kit

inside im going to tidy it up repaint the silver bits or carbon wrap them fit a few gauges to keep an eye on the car sort the shite seating position out so the seats sit lower

so as you can see a long way to go but iv started by looking at cades blast wheels or rota grid v's
unfortunately the cades blast only comes in 15" not sure if they would cover my choice of brakes but they look awesome

anyways hope you like and any advice with my pans will be great

Don't worry about the manifold, the OEM one isn't a restriction.

Strut braces unless its a pure Motorsport one, don't make a difference.

The OEM fuel system isn't an issue unless your the right side of 210bhp, and you won't achieve that without ITB's.

Looks good for what you paid for it, and its deffo a ph1 ;)

hmmm itb's theres an idea

surely braces will make some difference? cant imagine the shell is all that stiff

ok cool just a decat needed then :)

The only strut brace that works is the pure Motorsport one, because it actually mounts to the suspension strut rather than the turret. The rear is plenty stiff enough :)

Just trying to save you some money, that way you can spend on more beneficial items.

I'd recommend a rear anti roll bar, a DECENT set of coilovers, avoid the KTEC shite, and get something like KW, Bilstein, H&R.

Billy's are great but people also have problems with them... same as any brand, no one is 100% perfect.

was under the car today the exhaust is in a shocking state but found it has relatively new rear shocks and what look like spax springs all round so something to sell on when I find the coil overs I want

another annoying problem is it sits at 2k rpm unless you blip the throttle then it will sit at 1k rpm any ideas?

first thing bought for the Clio
need a boss kit for it anyone have one for sale

anyone know where there is a decent place to get little parts from around Southampton things like belts for removing air con, carbon wrap to tidy up the shitty bits inside, gauges, little things rather than ordering online
