dci 86 an remaping



ive bought a dci86 mk3 clio i was considering a remap it but im unsure what sort of diffrence it make power wise how much diffrence will a remap make to my insurence also as its a new car will it effect my warrenty :eek: the 86 seems ok from my test drive but more grunt is always handy does it cost alot

You will see around 110hp which is quite a jump and normally around the 350 quid mark.

Most people dont tell the insurance and the dealers shouldn't notice so shouldn't affect the waranty!

ive been driving for 2years im 22 ive had my own insurence for a year with directline it up for renewal next month intime for my new car :D
its was 600 for a year old 1.2 at the time i took it out i was qouted 26quid a month extra for the dci106 till my renewal
 
id tell them ive got nothing to hide its not in my nature to lie besides your never know what they check

Ring your insurer regards prices. Always tell them though.

Power wise about 105hp though most place take them to.
 
im going to ask ive been talking to vaious people they saying this work will mean engine parts will ware quicker im also wondering if my gearbox an brakes are up to the job long term ive got drums on the backs :S an im trying to save money not spend more as its going to need a service every year :dapprove:

Brakes are no problem at all. Will take 150hp day in day out.

Engine parts life will be reduced but depends how the cars serviced and driven it might last longer than stokc plus engines don't realy wear out now adays cars rush and crash before that happens realy.

You should service ever year regardless anyway ever 6 months for me. Its only cheap to chnage oil and filter.
 
im not a mad driver but :eek: but i just dont think the dci86 will be egger enough in a mk3 clio to get me safely out of tight spots


my stealer i expect will be seeing my clio every year :eek:
