De-cat for 172

ive just got my self a piper cross viper for my 172.

will fitting a decat pipe improve my cars performance as i havent got a full exaust system yet just my standard 172 one !!!

remap is more for the Viper than the decat, A/F mixture will be lean otherwise.

could i do the remap at a later time and still be happy with just the de cat?

Thats if your getting a piggyback chip though surely....

Hillpower can remap the standard ECU - I dont know for sure, but Id have though it would cost less that £600!!!

I think a uperchips remap is around the £300 mark.
