If mapped accordingly there is no reason to low any power low down with a decat, the car does nothing to improve gasflow at low rpm, but it does restrict it at high rpm so will lose you power up there versus a decat.

Fitted a de-cat to my otherwise standard 172 cup.
The car drives noticeably better, it felt 'held-back' somehow with the CAT in place. (That's not to say the CAT wasn't blocked/deteriorated).
very very impressed with the car since it was fitted, feels alot better to drive and with a totally standard exhaust system the noise increase was minimal.
