De cat?

Hiya im new on here just bought a 02 clio 172,it is fitted with a corba cat back stainless exhaust which had a crack in so i have removed it welded up the crack now im looking at de catting it while the exhaust is off and car up on stands but have noticed there is a lamba sensor before and after cat will removing the cat bring engine mangement light on or effect running any help?

Majority of the time it will bring the light on. There is a thing from Ktec racing you can buy to turn it off though or can be turned off with an RS Tuner I think.
