de-cat ?

  clio 172 cup
if you have a de-cat does it make the light on the dash come on and how easy is it to remove for m.o.ts ?

  A Flamin' Red one
It's all to do with the lambda sensor. Some are more tempramental than others.

If yours does come on it's an easy enough fix. Just pop into a garage with diagnostics equipment and get them to remove the fault.

Probably wont pass emissions for an MOT with one fitted. And it's a pain in the ass to swap over due to the location of the manifold flange. Unless of course you have the hands of a 7 year old girl.

get a fault code reader from ebay for £18 and you can turn it off yourself. will probably come back on in a couple thousand miles though

The joys of having a modified cat pipe ;) Mine's nice and easy to swap over.

They barely pass with the cat on don't they? From what I've read on here I get that impression anyway.

I've seen one fail on emissions even with the cat fitted, lol.

I wont have those issues anyway 182 manifold clears the subframe so the swap is a piece of piss.

My light didnt come on when I fitted mine. I made sure I left the post cat sensor connected and just taped it up out the way.
