Justa few quick questions, is a straight through de-cat simply a length of pipe welded to two flanges either end?

What diameter pipe is the k-tec one made from? Someone said 3 1/2" but that seems VERY wide, almost too wide to fit the existing pipe.

Im getting a m8 to make me one up just as soon as i can get the b*****d rusted up nuts off

Some are some arnt, the magenx one i have is silenced but generally they just are a length of pipe!

Me thinks 2 1/2" sounds a bit more like mine is... not sure what yours will be tho as its a smaller engine

a normal unsilenced decat is just a straight through section of pipe.any general exhaust places like powerflow etc could make you one cheap enough.

just get your mate to make it a bit bigger or the same size as the pipe in the rest of your exhaust system.if your going to get a performance exhaust soon then get him to make it out of a bit larger pipe then it would match your system if you get one.
