dead ht leads. how much power am i losing?

  Mint Clio Valver!
i know that my ht leads are screwed as they spark from the coil when ignition turned on and its only sometimes it missfires (so i know its not dizzy cap). how much power am i losing? i've ordered some 8mm magnecore ones jus to giv'em a go, plus thats what hill power use for their ignition kit.
am i going to notice much difference?
hope so, don't think she's getting to 60 fast enough.

i've got magnecores on my 172 and i had them on my megane coupe and have never had any problems with them, you wont get more power but they will do there job constantly, but i'm sure a few will post how crap they are!

but will i notice any difference in power simply from going from unhealthy leads to nice new healthy ones?

Not so much power but all round engine effiency, I has a dead lead on one of may cars, If its sparking before the pot then, the petrol in the chamber is not fully burning if at all. by changing the leads even for std working ones you will notice, an improved spark, the engine will start and run better, it will feel faster and be more economical, Think of the Ignition as the Heart, it will be like someone with a dodge ticker a pacemaker. He is never gone perform better but he will feel better

good good, cheers mate. fingers crossed we have no more annoying little problems with her.
p.s. i know its off the thread, but how long will a gear box mount take to go from slightly bad to really bad? i just get a bit of a knock when changing from 1st to 2nd, not a major knock like u get in most of the ph.1s (mine's a ph.2.). But it defo feels like a mounting is not as flush as it should be. any ideas on cost of repair? quote me happy!
