Decat + Filter = Less Power (16v)

I have fitted a K and N Induction Kit and a Ktec Silenced decat to my 16v.

Now its slower than ever, whats happened to the nail.

Take off your I/K and put your airbox back on cus its probs sucking in hot air! As for the decat - that should be fine!

induction kits sound the nuts but dont help for power. standard airbox with replacement panel is best bet, unless u got a sealed induction kit.

TBH - ive just had a decat & ITG replcement filter fitted (in std airbox) monday and if i was being truthful id say i wasnt taken back by the power increase. I do however have a small hole in my mid section of my exhaust which i can only think appeared when fitting my decat. (a very messy job involving big feck off grinders etc..)

Ill let you know when the hole is patched up - but even if it doesnt give me a power increase its worth it for popping / backfire @ 4,000k. (which is prob what cuase the hole in my mid section)

I did ask you about one of them before Mits, Bit skint at the mo though because ive been buying tuning parts for my car that dont work......

Will you be able to get them anytime though kid?

Well i put a K&N on mine, plus a valer bonent, and it made it quicker, and now ive put my de-cat on it goes alot faster through mid rev range, you shoudl have got a de-cat from me mate, half the price of the k-tec ones
