decat question

Thinking about getting a decat pipe for the 182, is it worth doing as a stand alone mod (using the origanal exhaust) or would i need a cat back system to get any benefit.
I'm looking for a decent exhaust note as the standard one is barely audible, will it make much of a differance? (a few extra hp wouldn't go a miss either)
Car is approaching 3y old and done 36k so i may need a new exhaust soon anyway

Oms had a standard system with just a decat, said he noticed more power and more fuel economy!

I fitted just a GDI De-Cat to my Standard System and definitely makes a diference, It does feel a lot more free flowing and makes it a lil noisier than with it standard,

Lucky 4 me I can get an MOT Certificate in the post so ne re-fitting of the Cat for me aswell

Worst case swapping the cat on a 182 is a 5 minute job anyway. If it fails just chuck the cat on for the retest then pull it back off again after.
