Yh in the same situation i use to have a cora which was modified but when it was wrote off not my fault of course they did not bother about it just payed out so wondering if its worth the hassle lol

I know some people who havent decalared alloys with intention to get there car home and swap the wheels if they crash.

With some Insurance companies like Quinns Direct i dont think you have to decalare alloys. Or at least they accept them.

I wouldnt take the risk of not declaring them as i think insurance companys will use any excuse not to pay out.

There's always a chance they will find out and decline any claims... something you'll have to decide if it's worth doing yourself.

Everything declared, inc. alloys - I just think worst case scenario, who's to say you don't have an accident so bad you're not able to drive it home and change the wheels over?

i asked if i could colour code, RS grille, and powder coat my wheels just in case and they said yeah no problem, didnt cost me anything either.

My old insurance (quinn) said they didnt mind as long as the alloys were peugeot ones,
Gti wheels on a 1.1 wheeeyyy

Rang my insurance company to declare mine, they didn't need to know...non-performance part...
Yeah but if you hadn't said anything to them & had to claim I bet they'd pull you up on it, any ecuse for them not to pay out. Therefore you were right to say.
