I have just done this on mine. It is now saying connect to itunes.

Yeh, AFAIK it wipes everything, and you need iTunes to reset the phone.

Yeah I did the same yesterday, the iPhone is wiped clean and has returned to factory state.

Yeah did this yesterday too on my old 2G and had to reinstate firmware and re jailbrake after advertising it as a jailbroken and unlocked phone. Cant believe I got £192 - Only cost me £150 brand new a few years back.
