Dephaser pulley 172

Car  Renault clio sport 172
Dont know if anyone can help, ive got a noisey dephaser pulley on my clio but i have a spare one which was working ok in a previous engine, just wondered if there is any way you have to lock these pulleys or set them up before putting them on the new engine? cheers

Brilliant.

Do a search. Specialist locking tools required or clunky clunk, bang..

yeah i know which tools to do the job its just making sure the pulley is set up correctly really.

Yeah sounds like an old transit van when warm, spoke to a dude at renault today you have to put a little pick inside the oil galleries and try twist the centre, itll either click into place which means its locked or it wont move which also means the same. So goin to wack it on friday. The pulley is a minter anyways so goin to use that one as its only been off the other engine for a month.

also does anyone have the battery casing that holds the gearbox mountain in it? mines cracked so need another one, cheers
