Dephaser pulley video

I have a rattle on my engine. I have removed the cambelt and found slight play in the dephaser. Is this play enough to cause a rattle?
Should there be any movement.

I did have but think I lost it. It was sounding just like the others on YouTube and defiantly coming from that area with a stethoscope.

My mechanic told me that if dephaser sounds like diesel it means that you have to change it to new. He said that it is popular method of dephaser diagnosis. How many miles you made on it?
