Dephaser Pulley

Hey all

Suspected dephaser pulley has gone on my car, just wondering if it is a big job ? ?

price etc..

Engine won't run rough unless a dephaser's properly s**t itself.

Will sound rattly when it's on it's way out.

Part is £180-ish, and you need the cambelt etc done to fit it. So about £700 odd from a Specialist.

The depahser pulley is £141.90+VAT from Renault.

Same labour costs as having a cambelt done pretty much. Unless the belt has been recently done then it will be a bit cheaper.

Possible, i've seen a couple with 100k+ spin a shell and wreck the crank.

I had my belts done at birchdown in august last year and they said mine was fine how long would you say after the belts were done would it be safe to just replace the dephaser and not the belts?
