I thought the first game was utter turd. Just couldn't get in to it at all. Controls were s**t, game play was awful IMO.
Mate of mine loved it, thought it was the best game of the year!
This might be good though (or at least better)

I bought Deus Ex: Human Revolution
probably played 10 mins thinking "this is so f**king s**t" then played for another half an hour just to get used to controls and was supprised to find me saying
"this is still f**king s**t"
