Diagnosis Stalling, symptoms & opinions

  Octavia vRS tfsi
Over the last forthnight the car has begun to stall intermittantly, but with increasing regularity with the clutch in/ car in neutral. It's getting to the point that when I start the car on occasions that unless I keep my foor slightly on the throttle when I turn the car on, it starts revs to 1200rpm and then the revs just drop, drop, drop, cut out.

Throttle body or ICV problem?? How difficult is the throttle body to get off? Going to give it a go tomorrow night....

Opinions and help appreciated

throttle body is easy, its been a couple of months since i last done it but ill give you a quick guide if i can remember....

unbolt the airbox lid (about 8 Torx screws i think!)

loosen/remove the jubilee clip holding the inlet bend only the throttle body and remove it (and the airbox lid)

remove the 4 bolts holding the throttle body on and the cable connecting to it and it just pulls off!

give it a good clean and then refit :)
