Diagnostic Power Run or Normal Power Run

Car  Nissan 370Z
My car seems to be down on power some days, and ok others.

Will a normal power run on a rolling road be good enough to tell me if its losing power by the bhp output...or will paying the extra and getting full diagnostic power run be better?

a normal power run will indicate if its down on power . but you would be better to pay the extra and be told how its running mechanically not just power wise . may be a dody injector etc .
bit stupid but are you sure its not just yuou gettin used to the car ? even the weather will make a slight diff.

and if it is running dodgy, giving it its max on a rr probably isnt the best idea either!!!

if it isnt running well then he RR operator wont give it full throttle he wil just use the road to simulate driving and pick up on the faults etc

I would say its just the weather and getting used to the car. My car feels really quick some days and others it just doesn't.

TBH m8 my cup and my 182 have good and bad days..not always just down to hot weather either..just the nature of the engines I suppose
