Diagnostic reader air bag and esp fault

  Westfield, 182, 200
Can anyone recommend a diagnostic tool for me to buy (or borrow) to fault find a couple of problems i have?

My lads 2002 1.2 Clio has an airbag fault, the wiring mods have already been done, so i'm stuck as to where to look next-the sunroof leaks and the floor is wet, and the mot is due in a couple of weeks, so i need a tool to give me a specific area to look for the problem, like drivers seat, impact sensor etc.

My 182 has an intermittant esp/traction fault that disables the cruse control. i reckon it's one of the front abs sensors or rings (as the rears were replaced last year), but again I'd like a tool to help me diagnose the area.

We also have a clio 197 and may be getting a megane convertible for the summer, so i don't mind paying £150 for a scanner as it'll pay for itself no time!

Been looking at the autel fr704, any advice?

Cheers, Ian.

You want a Clip interface. I've got one and could look at both for you for a small fee but if you are thinking of buying one thats the one go for.

ABS fault is probably the brake pedal switch out of adjustment.

Ordered an autel unit that can be used with other makes of car, will post and say whether it is any good.

Hopefully it will tell me if my brake switch is faulty, it's very intermittant!
