diagnostic report

borrowed a friends scanner today to make sure the engine management light was on due to the decat and not anythig else.

It came up with this

df038 downstream oxygen sensor (i guess this is because of the decat)

and also this

df308 bi-mode air inlet solenoid valve. Any one got any ideas what this is?

Egr valve whats this? andwheres it located? cheers

i thought this would be the accustic valve located in the standard airbox piping behind the headlight, often removed to fit a cold air feed

egr is exhaust gas recirculation valve, but not got a clue where it is

usualy on the exhaust manifold but as far as i know a 172 doesnt have one

No, the sports don't run an EGR valve and the code does indeed refer to the recirc purge valve.
