Diagnostic socket??

Hi

I recently had an MOT and all was fine. I then agreed to trial a car connect box shock plugs into the diagnostic socket under the ashtray. It basically monitors the mileage and where the car is etc. since having it plugged in my ABS LIGHT AND STOP LIGHT IS FLASHING, could this be from interference from the plug in?

The car is a 172 2001, it just seems a bit of a coincidence
