Its difficult to explain and i dont know if it is normal or not sometimes when i start my car the dials drop from there rest position and start sort of fizzing for a second and then they go back to normal.

It in no way affects the car but i was just wondering if there was a fix or if it is just normal.

I can take a video if you want

Do you have issues when starting?

On a previous car I had, the battery was on it's way out and the dials would do strange things.

Used to do this on my GTI 6, would make wierd noises and take a few second for them to start working - was a fault with the clocks.

My other GTI 6's dials used to jump to 140mph and back down, that was to let me know the battery was on its way out.

hmm, i think i may be on the original battery as it hasnt been changed as far as i know and iirc looks original, i was mainly worried that it could be a sign of the clocks being on the way out

I wouldn't worry mate. I think the battery thing is unique to peugeots but u could get it tested somewhere if your worried as it's normally free for a test.

could it be related to a broken abs ring, because i believe tat is where the speed reading comes from
