Diamond Cut Alloys & Powder COating

My GTI's Monza's need a refurb. AFAIK they are a diamond cut finish. However Powder Coating Refurb is cheaper?

What is the difference?

diamond cut is exactly that, the wheel is spun up and a diamond cutting tools cuts the surface of the wheel

powdercoat is exactly that, the wheel is coated in powder and baked

Whats the diff in finish tho?

diamond cut looks polished/cut into the metal and powdercoating looks ermm coated/painted
