difference between r27 and normal 197 for insurance....

egg just quoted me.......

normal 197 £472.50 plus £250 excess

and here is the confusing bit...

r27 £449.40 with £150 excess

both quotes based on 7 years protected ncd, no voluntary excess, no legal expenses, car parked on driveway, 3 points for speeding and no other drivers

really rate egg for their insurance, you can put premium on your egg card interest free for 12 months which is unusual in the industry who usually charge extra for paying over 10 months
