different rear springs for h&r

  KTM 990 SD / S60 D5
I have removed my back seats from my 182 and now the car sits to high at the back, has anyone been able to get different rear springs to get the car lower, don't want to remove the adjusters really.

Thanks Dom

Had the same problem on mine after stripping it out. Removing the adjusters will make it too low and you probably lose the pretension of the springs. Different springs (rear) are not available afaik. I solved the problem by using the rear adjusters from some AP coilovers i still had in the shed.
Did you try the adjuster trick on the H&Rs? I think there was something with assembling the adjusters in a different order to make them sit lower...

I've been having a look at the rear springs we have in stock. They are not straight but are designed with a slight angle at the top so they stay seated as the spring extends.

Having a look at the adjuster. You might get away with removing the middle ring so the unit sits 8mm lower but I dont know if thats safe to do as this might mean the spring cup does not sit correctly.

I have now solved this,I followed your advice and removed the top nut,but found this only gave me about 3-4 mm extra, after having a quick look at the adjuster I decided to turn the bottom nut up the other way,the nut and adjuster now sit flush on the spring mount and gave me the 10 mm I needed.I don't know if this is what you meant anyway.
