diming wire (lights/head unit)

What colour is the wire that dips the illumination on your head unit when you have your lights on?

i want to know bout this too, the lead comin from the headunit is orange. do u connect this to the positive supply of a light that comes on wiv the headlights?

the lead from the h.u could vary depending on make etc, there is a wire in the loom allready for the standard h.u, i was just wondering which colour it was.

mines an alpine unit and is orange, not sure bout other makes. does the wire in the loom just provide 12volts to the illumination lead?
