Direct Line Named Driver NCB Question

  Civic Vtec y0
On the 1st of December I will have been a named driver on my Mums car for 2 years. However she is taking me off her policy a few days later as I dont use her car anymore.

Just wondering, when she phones them up and tells them will they send me out a letter or something saying I have 2 years NCB? or how does it work? I have never had a NCB b4 lol

Cheers

They should do,when I did my insurance online with directline there is a part where I had to put in my dads details as I was on his policy before and it worked out my ncb that i had on that and recaculated my quote

no the named driver thing is only if you buy insurance with DL. Also think you have to been on the policy for three years to qualify, isnt as good as it sounds but worked a treat for me with the clio as its in my mums name.

Ah I see, I have my own policy with DL atm so think I will just leave things as they are! So when December comes do you think they might reduce my monthly payments as I will have 2 Years NCB? its a long shot I know but its worth a try!
