Front disc min thickness is 17.6mm and the rear is 7mm.

For the pads if they have worn evenly you could get away with about 3mm left but you will have to get down and look with the wheels off. Dont make the mistake of looking at the outside of the disc and outside pad as usually the inside has heavier wear and on my car anyway more corrosion on the disc.

If you are changing the pads and there is heavy scoring on the discs they will need changing also or if you have enough meat left you could get them skimmed.

Most disks get a lip on the outer edge where the pad doesn't get it. The pads are harder. Not to sure on clio pads myself. Squealing means change it now! It not you should be able to see how much pad it left with a wheel off. There should be a gap between the metal pate at the back of the pad and the disk.

Looks Like im in need of new pads and disks,

i have a lip on the disk and squeeling (didnt happen when i bought the car, and doesnt happen when i am breaking just driving generally) as described by josh youare
i aslo have Scoring on the disks as described by Cupman29

also the car pulls ever so slightly to the left which i am told that could mean the pads are bonding slightly on the left hand side.

can anyone recommend pads and disks for a 1.2 clio?

Did a mates brakes the other week there where 1 pad had completely jammed in the carrier and one side of the other pad had also causing it to wear like a wedge. Not enough clearance to take account of corrosion. Not all scoring means new discs so check the thickness of them first and not throw money away.

I'm guessing you won't be doing the work yourself?
