Has anyone heard of this way of removing dents or tried it themselves?

Pasted off an Astra forum:

How to remove dents

Required is 1 hairdryer, 1 can of dry ice, 1 soft polishing cloth.
You can get a tin of dry ice from any plumbers merchants

1 Heat dent with hair dryer for about 2mins.

2 spray the dent with the dry ice.

3 the dent will pop out. ( takes a minute or two )

4 wait for dry ice to go white and polish with cloth.

5 repeat the process if the dent does not come out all the way

EDIT: ahh just read the thread above

There are things you can get though for smaller dents, i works something like glueing on a 'screw piece' and then placing another device on top and twisting the screw pulling out the dent. No idea how well that works but there arent many places that you cant get to behind the panels so working from behind and the likes of a painters steam roller does the job

Depending on how big the dent is. Recently i lost a 10p size parking ding with the back of a spoon and a decorators steam roller ( if obviously the dent is accessable via the panels!

Like lei69gh said . If the panel is accessible from behind .Try a seam roller . I used one years ago and removed 2 dents from a rear quarter panel .

I'd assume it would make the paint go crazied if you're not careful/do it wrong.

I've got some sticking out dents on my bonnet from where the prevous owner/garage in it's past slammed it down on top of tools etc. Wonder if this will fix some of those?
