I do not understand it, why does everybody write about the 19´s ?
I only mentioned them once, and btw. they haven´t been delivered so there´s no pic of the 197 with the 19´s.

So, please, let us wait and when I got them, I am going to make pictures,...
I also do not know if that will look good, but a black rim always looks a bit smaller than a silver or white rim

@ the fly?!!!, least 172 cups make their power if thats the case..... thats. If its sold as 197 it should have at least 190 bhp.......

^ mate RStuning can gain 20lbft and 10bhp main reason is that there coming from factory with much less power. i think autocar are running an article and getting their car RR`d as its not as fast as it should be ! could be a big can of worms opening as renaults vary so much on their N/A engines.. funnily the turbo renault put out more than claimed i.e meg 222bhp actually about 230bhp and 240lbft instead of 220lbft !

on member on here had in the high 170`s ! at the fly !

if the 197 and v6 255 actually put their claimed power out then maybe they wouldnt be considered so slow.

hmmmm i was actually thinking about changing the Cup for one later this year..... my thinking as long as it was roughly the same speed, it would be ok. I like the fact they are pretty exclusive, and look the part with the H&R springs.......

While not perhaps indicative of all 197s, that power 'figure' does not surprise me at all. The one I drove felt like a better handling but 200kg heavier version of my car but with virtually the same power, offset by stupidly low overall gearing (to not very good effect).

However, I'm starting to sound like a broken record on that front

Enjoy your car mate and fit 19s if you want to. Cliosport is mainly a performnace orientated club so the vast majority of people will question anything that might have a detrimental effect. Not that anyoine here has driven a 197 on 19" rims anyway

Your 197 looks awesome buddy. But i agree with Ali. 18" turinis would look the dogs on your car. Plus they would be light weight too. Its got me thinkin what the 197 cup is goin to look like?

I'm going to take a stab in the dark here and say that if you can find a picture of an R27 without decals then you're pretty much there

I remember reading an official renault publication of sorts that said the 197 had drilled discs. Is it perhaps the case that European models do indeed get drilled items, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

By the way, does anyone know if the rear discs of the meg also fit?

should do.they are the same size disc.
but they dont do a great deal.
but i know they do look better.

no, its just the rears dont do a great deal they only really work on the handbrake.

real carbon, yes!

you should send them yours, its not full carbon, it is original diffusor with a coating of carbon outside.

Carbon is not like paint, so you can just spray it on

Trile, carbon in its raw form is a fabric. Your diffuser will be prepped, then layered in carbon and then gel-coated (I'd imagine). Many carbon products are made this way.

and the parts of the mirror which aren´t painted

However would be too expensive fot that little effekt. I think it isn´t easy to work on such a thing like the front grille. Would be cheaper and easier to let it look like carbon with the film/foil method, but I don´t know if it wouldn´t be too much.
