DJs can you lube faders with WD-40?

Mine's just started crackling and i have no fader lube. Will WD-40 work or should i just wait?

Not a DJ but I don't thionk it will be a problem. WD40 is to be used on electrical goods at the end of the day.

yeah, you can try it, but i wouldnt spray it in there, just use some on a cloth and rub it on there, worth a shot seeing as your gonna have to replace it soon enough anyway, what mixer have you got?
