Do big wheels damage ya car

Same as above^^^^^^^^^^^

Do 17"s or 18"s damage ya car in any way?? Ive heard that it puts to much stress on suspension parts and steering parts etc???

  Mk2 Golf GTI

it will put stress on the shocks and drive shafts but i dont think its anything to worry about as loads of people have done it without problems, but dont quote me!

  Turbo'd MX-5 MK4

i put 17s on my old clio with 60mm springs, the car now has a buggered driveshaft and has had to have a wheel bearing replaced.

  Audi TT Stronic

I would imagine unless your car was designed to take big wheels then bigger wheels would cause more strain on suspension parts, in the same way if you increase engine power from standard it will cause more wear on other parts, gearbox etc.

May shorten the life of some parts. But its not gonna do any damage as such.

Its like saying going fast round corners damages parts.
