Do i need to have arch liners ? And what are they for ?

Car  Golf TDI
For obvious reasons archliners most probably protect the metal and help stop corrosion etc but is that all ? and will it make much of a difference without them ? Colour coded the car this last few days and had to take the front bumper off but broke the archliners , shall i just leave them off now ?

Get new ones because if your missing your o/s/f archliner you might drive over something or something could get caught in your accessory belt and could cause more damage!

oh also the air intake is behind the passenger side one, well on the RS models anyway.

They are necessary. If you are to put any sports bumper on a non sport, theyre going to be alot smaller. imo, it doesnt look too bad if the car is slammed as the wheels hide them. I wouldnt leave them off for too long on the front.
