I have read all of my policy details and the only thing it says about modding is:

It is not modified to increase performance, speed or acceleration

Springs dont do any of that afaik, so do i need to tell them?

Thanks
Mike

they could argue it increases performance as it makes the car handle better!? ring them and ask though better to be safe than sorry.

I know what your saying but to me it sounds like them saying

Thank you sir, thats an extra £x for decreasing your chances of crashing.

Might ring em tomorrow, however i did a quote online and they didnt ask about mods.

if you plan on not telling them,
id also suggest you pray them black,
because if you crash and an inspector comes round and see bright yellow springs,
theyll belly out and ull be left with the pieces,

springs are a performance mod,
putting you in the cartegory of fast drivers and people that are more likely to crash

I know i should really check with them but i noticed this on the website's faq.

My car has been modified; will you be able to provide cover?
We will not be able to provide cover if your car has been modified to increase the top speed or acceleration.

I only have 4 months left, cant afford springs until next month anyway so might aswell wait until renewal but would be good to get them on asap.

Edit: just noticed it says not be able to provide, doesnt say we will do some mods at cost, going to have to ring them then
