Do these flexis look knackered/on their way out rapidly?

Bought this from Renparts, described as good condition - I'm worried I'm going to have to pay silly money to have it fixed and they're going to split shortly as well!

Fraying slightly, I'm not sure if this is normal.

Cheers.

Not great in my opinion. I'd have expected it to be better than that. How much did they charge?

You'd have been better buying someones old one and having new flexi joints welded in place.

Paid less than that to have my 2 flexis taken out and 2 brand new ones put in on my A3!

Get new ones welded in to that part if you are worried.

then sell old manifold. or do the cuntholio thing and post it back if off ebay lol.

This ones already done 49k miles.

I'll get this fitted - learn to weld and just fix up my old one in case this one ever fails.

Always have a spare I guess!

It will do that mileage again no problem and then some more.

I'm going to get the one pictured fitted tonight (whole lot, manifold, mani cat etc).. and get the mounts done next week probably.

The 197's manifold is supporting the engine so much they're prone to going. It's a shitter really.
