actually looking at them again they dont seem that bad but most people seem to avoid gaz coilovers. i would go for it if they are going for a good price mate.

paul thats rust that on them. it happens to all coilovers eventually and they will just have to stay like that. jst need to make sure that the collar rings havent seized up and that they can be freely adjusted

how can i tell?

if you can rotate the rings with the c spanner then they sould be fine as it means that the height can still be adjusted. they honestly dont look bad at all and i have defo saw alot worst. how long have they been on the car for?

Dont mean to be a party pooper mate but id save your money and put it towards something better. Ive got those on mine and there not great.

They'd probably be more suited to track TBH. Get them if you just want the looks but they do nothing for the handling, IMO.

people say they handle terrible etc, but its all to do with how you drive and how stiff you have them.

With everything set solid expect to understeer/oversteer when pushing it, im running about 1/4 stiffness and its a nice ride and feels pretty glued

Bumpy and twitchy especially on back roads. Took me weeks of messing around trying to get a decent setting. I would never buy them again, not for a clio anyway. Not sure if the Gaz golds are any better but if these are cheap then its maybe worth a try.

I doubt it. Think theres something fundamentally wrong with the clio Gaz kits. Most people who have tried them will agree, they might seem ok until you try H+R's or even sportlines.

The LY will look nuts on the GAZ coilies - I've seen one with a set

Although the owner/s always said they were very stiff & bumpy from memory

I have them, Olly-Mango has them , Makavelli had them, Christopher has them and if you spend a good few hours adjusting then takin it for a drive and adjusting again they can be set up pretty well IMO

Olly had mine for like 4 hours the other day and its improved my opinion of them its just all about taking your time.
