Dodgy Engine Sound..

Hello all,

Just wondering if anybody could give a rough guess as to what this noise is coming from the engine?

After looking at a few other videos posted on here and YouTube, I'm not sure what it could be... Either the dephaser pulley or the water pump bearing.

Keen to hear your thoughts.

Your auxiliary pulley doesn't look all that, flapping about in the video? That might be the issue if the bearing f**ked!!

You might be onto something there as I never noticed it until you look closely!

I'd be checking for play in that pulley as said above, does sound bearing related

It was the water pump that had let go. Got it replaced and all good again!
