does a 172 have a air intake temperature sensor??

HI, I HAVE A CLIO SPORT 172 2002, RECENTLY HAD IDLE TROUBLE WHEN HOT AND COLD SO I HAVE CLEANED THE THROTTLE BODY AND AIR FILTER BUT THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS. TOOK THE CAR CAR TO A LOCAL GARAGE AND HAD I DIAGNOSED ON COMPUTER IT SHOWED AIR INTAKE TEMPERATURE SENSOR, SO I POPPED ALONG TO RENAULT PARTS WHO SAID THE CAR DIDNT HAVE ONE!!! IT HAD A COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSTEAD, WELL THAT SOUNDS LIKE TOTALLY DIFFERENT THING ALL TOGETHER TO ME, DOES ANYONE KNOW THE TRUTH!! CHEERS MICK

yes it should have one, as you look at the inlet, the far right there is a small sensor there, thats the air inlet temp sensor

Just in front of the throtle body, little white sensor. 2 Wires.

thanks for the replies people, did some research after i posted and got the part number for the sensor and promptly corrected the fool on the parts desk! lol cheers
