Does any company actually insure a 172 with a young driver?

Tried various places, seems to me like it's almost blacklisted.

The most "affordable" I've got it as a 20 year old is 4 grand.

Does anyone recommend a company? (Yet to try Brentacre)
Either that or perhaps start up a "Let's get Sam insured fund"

Thanks!

Admiral / elephant / bell (All one company) are usually the cheapest, I was quoted around 2k for a 172 / 182 , I paid £1800 iirc for my Audi with Elephant.

What about the specifics? Do you have more than one car with admiral?
How many NCB do you have?

I am 20 and mine is 1.8k with Brentacre.
How many years NCB did you have prior? I know you have to have atleast 1 year with them.

Cheapest quote I've had so far is with elephant.

Same with me at 4 grand, though not affordable just yet.
