Does anybody know where to find the idle control valve on a Mk2 Ph1 1.6i 16V engine? As i'm after prices and my mate has contacted couple of suppliers and 1 of them needs the serial No from my current valve.

Any help greatfully received.

one would assume on or very near the TB (throttle body) You had the airbox off and had a look?

Not yet, one supplier quoted off my reg No and the other wants the serial No, is it easy to locate?

Not a clue, but I'd hazard a guess that the part number will be on ICV
