i have a ph 1 172 and i was wondering if the ph 2 172 dashboard would fit in my car without any problems? i perfer the dash in the 2001-2006 172's to mine but seems silly to change cars just for the dash lol.

i hear that they wont swap over i imagine if you stripped both back you maybe able to build the ph2 one up

yes i would take my dashboard completely out then fit the newer type just didnt want to go through all the hassle to fit the ph2 dash dont fit.

You would need to replace the entire wiring loom as well I would of thought?

dont think the loom would be the biggest problem, as when hodg was doing his conversion (ph2) edde was insistent he should source a ph1 engine and loom. so should go together with a bit of creativity.
