Does changing MAP sensor stop bunny-hopping?

Noticed a few times, when cold, that car bunny-hops. Really not often but has done it a few times.

Anything with standard sensor that causes this (I am replacing mounts so vibration I suppose) and anything with the replacement cheaper Delphi sensor that fixes it (assuming it's not vibration and just sensor).

I was suffering really bad with this and took it to Reno tec in Chelmsford, they sorted it out for me and it never did it again. A full service and I think it was a fuel additive to clean up the system that sorted it out, It was so annoying you never knew if you could pull away safely, proper whiplash kangarooing

my 197 was very bad, I replaced the oring on the map sensor and got one of those securing brackets, it was like a new car, the RSTuner map also made a big differnce especially when cold

Agree on the above - I have one of those Moto-CNC map sensor brackets, as well as running a RSTuner 98ron map and don't really have much issue with kangarooing in my 200.

Assuming it drives fine when warm?
Yeah, seems to:) Like I said I've literally only noticed it maybe twice in six months and when I did it was just after cold startup. I checked the map sensor and it didn't seem loose or anything so agree on what you said about cold n that.

I noticed the diff in ££ between oem and Delphi on Kam (I think) so at least I know there's a cheap fix out there. Where are these brackets some have mentioned?

You used to be able to buy them on eBay, a quick trick is to use cable ties to see if that helps. My issue was definitely not related so definitely worth exploring other fuel delivery related issues.

Cheers pal. I've got a few things to fix over time but it's not urgent atm. Good to know ppl's experience tho for when it's needed;)

I did wonder if it were related to throttle fault somehow as I know it's by-wire as oem and not cable throttle.

My 200 is a 2012 and I've never had the kangaroo issue. Maybe Renault sorted it? I've just had an exhaust fitted which usually makes it worse but still no problems.
