Does powerflex dogbone cause vibration when new?

Hi guys,

Just picked my car up from having mounts changed. (standard upper engine mount, standard upper gearbox mount, powerflex dogbone)

Noticeable vibration when car idles at 900rpm. Is this to be expected with the powerflex..?

Same mount, just uprates the rubber bushes... I've heard they "take some getting used to!"

Car drives fantastically now though!! Just shakes you to bits at idle.

Apparently it does but I never noticed any difference when I fit mine

yer first few weeks , on idle at cold, dash vibrates bit badly. Once warm doesnt. and after few weeks dies down

Hmmm. Quite a big difference in mine.

They guy did say my gearbox mount was hanging on by a thread so, maybe that's why I can notice it more...?

my 172 cup shakes alot but mines got all solid mounts all round on gearbox and engine

It isn't that bad, it's only a slight vibration in mine. I love it, improved the feel of the car so much!

tbh when car was in garage and started it wasnt too noticable on mornings, but parked out at work exposed it was very noticable. Is allot better then standard ones though

It seems to drive amazingly. Just wanna floor it all the time!!

My old mounts were so knackered...

Just wanted to check they hadn't done something wrong. I expected a bit of vibration. It's nothin harsh but can feel it through the steering wheel.

Only when it drops to 900rpm. 1000rpm + is fine!


The guy said it felt "competitiony" lol

they settle in, but more so you just get used to it

Yes mine vibrates quite bad at first after it was fitted, But once bedded in its fine... Takes a while tho tbh...

My car vibrated worse than it does now because the timing was out so it doesn't bother me just wanted to make sure it was ok.
