Does the 172 have an immobiliser as standard?

Anyone tell me? I'm just doing the yearly insurance quote drudge and noticed that previously I left the immobiliser box as 'none'. Surely it must have one? And might it be Thatcham 1 or 2, if it does?

not sure if it was an option but mine has the premier renault alarm believe this is cobra?

the 172 will have an immob in the key, chip / pin type of thing...

They all came standard with one but not sure about the cat1 cat2 status

I've always assumed its Cobra Cat1, along with the alarm?

A proper UK spec one will have a CAT1 alarm and the immobilser on the car, a parallel import will just have the CAT2 immobiliser unless its been retrofitted with an alarm.
