Does this catalytic converter flange look right?

Hi all
Does the flange in this picture look correct to someone with an experienced eye?
Its for a ph1 172
It looks to me like there's very little metal around the top half, but could just be the lighting.

Thoughts/opinions much appreciated!

The flange uses a conical wire gasket, its not a "face to face" flange. The pic you posted looks completely normal.

Its normal. BUT you could get away with some wirebrush around the inner to clean that rust off so a new gasket will make a better seal
