Dog bone mount 172

Just looking for opinions on this guys been thinking of getting the power flex bush kit for the dog bone mount and also the top right engine mount. But I did see this on eBay and wanted to know if i would be better buying that or sticking with the power flex option

Top one is an Evol Mount I and lots of others run them.

Speak to @EvolEngineering2013 before you get one off eBay etc.

think it did about 100 mile on the car, the previous owner gave it me when I bought the car. He didn’t like it.

The Evol dog bone was one of the first things I fitted to my 172. I opted for this as I didn’t fancy wrestling with the orignal dog bone to remove the old bush to fit the powerflex bush (lack of a vice was pretty much the deciding factor).

I bought the track mount with the metal sleeved bushes (believe the one in the photo above it the road biased mount with nylon bushes). Absolutely transformed the car, with minimal increase in cabin vibration. There is procedure for tightening/torquing the bolts when fitting this (instructions supplied with the mount) and following this ensures vibration increases are kept to a minimum, so Evol mount gets top marks from me.

If you decide to go with a powerflex just fit the bigger bush and leave the smaller one std get all the benefits and none of the vibration .

It's the standard dogbone mount with a Flo-flex poly bush pressed in.

I know he changed the inserts and that looks like mine, which isn’t the race version. More a hybrid road/race.

@imprezaworks i think you’re right, mines looks the same as the one in @Photomattbrown photo and having looked back my eBay purchase history It appears mines is the “hybrid” fast road/race version, rather than a pure race one.

@Photomattbrown. Well finished work today and picked the Clio up from my parents house as my dad fitted the dog bone mount and power flex upper right engine bush. And must say wow what a difference no more engine play feels really good. Does vibrate a fair bit tho, is that normal?
