hardest part is jacking the car high enough to get under comfortably!

that reminds me must change mine tomorrow!

hang on!

2 things - the GSF supplied dog bone is tiny compared with the OE 16v/williams ones so make sure its a proper one or better still buy uprated from Hillpower etc.

also - if i remeber rightly the bolt is right next to the front pipe and if you slot it trough the easy way it leaves the exposed thread very close to the front pipe leading to knocking etc. To do it properly the bolt needs to go trough from the front pipe side meaning the front pipe needs removing.

I had this problem about 18mths ago after trying to diagnose a nasty knocing noie i had been suffering with for ages, In the end i just cut the exposed thread off with a hack saw meaning the nut was still next to the front pipe but no more knocking.

very awkward cutting it under a couple of trolly jacks!

What so i just jack the car up and take the two bolts out and replace it with the new dogbone mount?

dont i have to support anything like the gearbox etc from dropping?
